A weiya is an annual year-end banquet that is traditionally held ahead of the Lunar New Year as a way for employers to show their appreciation for their employees and is an opportunity for companies to improve the employee-employer relationship.
Example:
公司的尾牙宴上，大家有吃有喝，有說有笑，十分開心。
Gōngsī de wěi yá yàn shàng, dàjiā yǒu chī yǒu hē, yǒu shuō yǒu xiào, shífēn kāixīn.
At the company's year-end party, everyone ate, drank, talked and laughed, and was very happy.
